Lunar New Year Celebration
Chinatown Parade
Chinese New Year falls on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 (Year of the Horse, 4724), and the Lunar New Year parade took place on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
The parade will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of 24th Street and Wentworth Avenue and travel north on Wentworth towards the viewing stand at Cermak and Wentworth.
Our parade will feature traditional dragon and lion dancing teams, colorful floats, marching bands and marching groups. Sponsorships are $3,000 or $5,000 and can be downloaded here
The following year, Chinese New Year will fall on Saturday, February 6, 2027 (Year of the Goat, 4725), and the parade will be on Sunday, February 14, 2027.
The Parade entry form for 2027 will be available in the first week of December 2026.
